Music Theatre Philly Studio Policies

To ensure a positive and professional experience for our students, caregivers and staff, we ask that everyone please follow these policies.

PROGRAM POLICIES:

Cancellation by MUSIC THEATRE PHILLY: MTP reserves the right to cancel any program if enrollment is insufficient. Any tuition paid will be refunded in full.

Cancellation for Classes, MTP Presents and Workshops: If you would like to cancel your registration before the first day of the class or show, you will receive a full refund. You may cancel your registration after the first class and receive a full refund minus $50 for the cost of the first class and administrative fees. After the first week, no refund will be given.

Cancellation for Camp: If you would like to cancel your registration for a session of camp, MTP will refund the full tuition less a $25 registration fee per class if you request the cancellation more than 2 weeks before the start of the session. If you cancel your registration within 2 weeks before the session begins, a 50% refund (minus the $25 processing fee) will be given. After each session begins, no refund or credit will be given, regardless of attendance.

Returned Checks: A $20 service charge will be attached to any check returned by the bank due to insufficient funds.

Pick Up: All caregivers are expected to pick up their child within a timely manner. If you are delayed by 15 minutes or more, you will be charged a fee of $20/hour.

Photography: MUSIC THEATRE PHILLY reserves the right to use photos and/or videos taken during classes and performances for promotional materials only. If you do not want your child's image used on our website, please contact us.

Potty Training: All students attending drop-off classes must be “potty confident” before attending class at Music Theatre Philly unless otherwise specified. This means they must be able to use the facilities independently.

Make Up Classes: MTP reserves the right to cancel a class or rehearsal due to inclement weather or other unavoidable circumstances. Cancellations will be announced via email. In the event that the studio cancels a class, all participants will be offered a makeup class to be scheduled at a later date. Makeup classes are not offered in the event of an individual absence.

NUT FREE POLICY: Due to severe allergies, MTP is a nut-free zone. No nuts or food containing nuts may be brought into the studio at any time.

Scholarships and Payment Plans: Scholarships and Payment Plans are available. For more information, visit our application page or email MTP’s executive director, Tim Popp at tim@musictheatrephilly.com

Accessibility: To share an access need for your child or find out more about possible accommodations, please email MTP’s Director of Programming, Jenna O’Neill at jenna@musictheatrephilly.com

Parties and Events Policies:

Deposits: To secure your party date, a $200 deposit must be initially paid. Party Deposits are non-refundable

Rescheduling a party: If you find you need to reschedule your party, Music Theatre Philly will make every effort to afford this accommodation. However, as our parties are in high demand, there will be a $50 fee to reschedule if the request is more than four weeks out. At three weeks out there will be a $100 fee, and a $200 fee for any rescheduling at two weeks or less.

If you cancel or reschedule your party with less than two weeks notice, you will also be responsible for any additional fees that Music Theatre Philly may have incurred in the planning of your party – these will include catering and staff fees and will be dependent on the size/choices you've made with our party planner.

Music Theatre Philly reserves the right to cancel a party or close the facility due to inclement weather or unforeseen, uncontrollable circumstances. If a party is canceled, every attempt will be made to reach those registered to reschedule the party ASAP. In the event that the event cannot be rescheduled, a refund will be issued to the family in the form of original payment.

Playspace Membership Policies:

Cancellation: Your membership can be canceled at any time by emailing info@musictheatrephilly.com. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing. We cannot cancel memberships over the phone. We require one week’s notice before your next billing cycle to cancel the next charge of your account. Our registration system requires a week's notice to avoid an upcoming billing cycle. Requests for termination will be honored upon request, but may not be possible if under 7 days notice.*

Closures: Music Theatre Philly reserves the right to close the Playspace due to building repairs, emergencies, severe weather or any emergency circumstances. Members will be notified of any closures as soon as possible via email.

Child Supervision: Parents and Caregivers assume the safety of their children. Children may not be left unsupervised in the Playspace. All members must respect the Playspace policies posted in the building. Failure to honor those policies may result in a cancellation of your membership.
